Last night, February 17, 2026, was a very special night for our Bayou family…Delta’s puppies have arrived!
Delta welcomed nine beautiful puppies into the world: five boys and four girls. We are so thankful for a strong, healthy litter and a smooth delivery.
This litter was lovingly whelped by our dear friends at Red Dog Farms in Shreveport, Louisiana and we are incredibly grateful for their care, experience, and support throughout the process. It means so much to have trusted hands helping bring these puppies safely into the world.
Delta did a wonderful job. She was steady and intuitive throughout labor, and she has already settled into her role as mama with such tenderness. There’s something so special about those first hours, tiny squeaks, full bellies, and the quiet rhythm of a new little family forming.
Right now, these first days are all about warmth, nursing, rest, and bonding. Miss Rebekah at Red Dog Farms will keep the environment calm and simple, allowing Delta to focus on what she does best, caring for her babies.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll begin sharing updates as eyes open, personalities start to peek through, and those wobbly little legs find their strength. This stage is fleeting and sweet, and we’re excited to invite you to follow along as they grow.
We are so thankful for a healthy start and cannot wait to watch this special group of nine develop into the confident, capable companions we know they’re meant to be.
