Delta Litter Update! Growing, Exploring, and Thriving

This blog is a part of Delta’s journey, read her litter arrival blog here.

Our Delta litter, born on February 18th, is already hitting exciting milestones, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how they’re developing. It’s always amazing to watch these puppies grow and begin interacting with the world around them, and this stage is one of our favorites.

This week marked a big transition for the litter, they officially moved into their new puppy pen. This upgraded space gives them plenty of room to move around, play, and begin building confidence. At this age, having space to explore is so important for both physical development and early socialization. Along with their new pen, they’ve been introduced to a variety of enrichment toys. These toys are carefully chosen to help stimulate their minds, encourage problem-solving, and build curiosity. It’s been so fun to watch them investigate new textures, sounds, and objects as they continue learning every day.

Another important milestone is that the puppies started eating mash at the end of last week. This is always a big step as they begin the gradual transition from nursing to more independent eating. So far, they are doing great with it and have taken to it naturally. Proper nutrition during this stage plays a key role in their growth, and we’re happy to see them thriving.

In addition to starting mash, the litter has also begun their deworming regimen. This is a routine but essential part of responsible puppy care, helping ensure each puppy stays healthy as they grow. We stay on a strict schedule with this to give every puppy the best possible start before heading to their new homes.

We also want to give a special thank you to Mrs. Rebekah at Red Dog Farms. She is doing an incredible job caring for this litter day in and day out. From maintaining a clean, safe environment to giving each puppy the attention they need, her dedication truly shows in how well these puppies are doing. We’re so grateful to have her playing such an important role in raising this litter.

As the days go on, we’re starting to see more of each puppy’s personality come through. Some are already a little more adventurous, while others are taking their time and observing before jumping in. Watching these traits develop is one of the most rewarding parts of raising a litter.

We’re excited to continue sharing updates as the Delta litter grows. They’re off to an excellent start, and we can’t wait to see what the coming weeks bring.
